A Fully Charged Ride for the Škoda Brand

The Škoda brand went all in on electromobility in 2020 with the Enyaq and has been gaining speed on the market ever since. In 2024, the more compact sibling, the Elroq, built on the success of the first model line, and in 2025, it climbed to second place in the European electric car rankings. This year, it is holding third position. In Germany, Denmark and Slovakia, it is even in the lead. And we are only just getting started: in 2026, the line-up was joined by the Epiq, the most affordable Škoda electric car to date, and the Peaq SUV, which offers up to seven seats. The carmaker has already registered more than 80,000 orders for the two models.

Everyone can try it

Electromobility ambassadors

Driving an electric car is a different experience from driving a car with a combustion engine. The best way to get an idea of it is to try an electric car yourself. That is why Škoda Auto offers this opportunity both to customers and to its own employees. This year, permanent employees at all three Czech plants can borrow an Elroq free of charge for several days. So how do those who have tried electric cars react? They are surprised by the instant response when they press the accelerator, the quiet and comfortable ride and the stability in all conditions. We regularly report on the experiences of these “electromobility ambassadors” in Škoda Mobil.

Škoda Explore

Customers in the Czech Republic can test electric cars thoroughly through the Škoda Explore programme, which offers long-term test drives. For an attractive price, they can rent the Elroq and Enyaq for up to 14 days. In the first year of the programme, customers drove these cars more than 1.5 million kilometres. You can book them at www.skoda‑explore.cz/en.
